All Lynwood Unified Schools Earn 2025 PBIS Awards for Fostering Positive Campuses

For the fourth consecutive year, all 17 schools across Lynwood Unified have been honored with 2025 Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Awards, earning recognition in the Platinum and Gold categories for their commitment to building positive school climates and advancing student success.

Presented by the California PBIS Coalition, the awards celebrate schools that have effectively implemented a multi-tiered system of support to reduce disruptions, reinforce positive behavior and improve academic outcomes. Each recognition level demonstrates a school’s dedication to sustaining best practices that align with the PBIS framework.

Lynwood Unified’s PBIS initiatives emphasize consistent behavioral expectations, positive reinforcement and strong collaboration among staff, students and families. These proactive strategies provide students with the social-emotional tools they need to thrive in the classroom and beyond.

Lynwood Unified’s 2025 PBIS Award-winners include:

Platinum

Lincoln, Lugo, Mark Twain, Roosevelt, Washington, Will Rogers and Wilson elementary schools; Cesar Chavez and Hosler middle schools; and Firebaugh, Lynwood and Vista high schools

Gold

Together with families and staff, Lynwood Unified is addressing challenges proactively, fostering positive behaviors and promoting overall wellness across every campus. The District continues to build learning environments where every student feels valued, respected and prepared for success.
